| The
SmartWave is a very accurate, noiseless and self-adjusting
pulse radar transmitter for distances up to 100 feet. The
SmartWave adjusts microwave pulse amplitude and its width
to a target distance and target reflection properties. The
receiver changes its sensitivity with the amplitude of received
echoes. In addition, the unit analyzes the shapes of the received
echoes and eliminates the ones coming from tank walls, standpipes
and other obstructions. These features allow the SmartWave
to track any wanted target from the tip of the rod antenna
to the bottom of the tank, regardless of the tank shape or
environmental conditions.
Any build
up on the rod antenna does not deteriorate the performance
of the radar probe. Our radar does not have any mismatch between
resonator and transceiver. This eliminates problems when a
target is close to the antenna and gives optimal performance
of the radar.
The SmartWave
Transmitter also features a low dielectric mode. In this mode
SmartWave will ignore echoes from tank bottoms with material
present and it will increase its transmit energy and sensitivity
of the receiver until it will detect echoes from surfaces
of the low dielectric materials. SmartWave in this mode will
work with dielectrics around 2 and higher.

Remote Level Indication for up to Five
Bins
This display module can be used with either
SmartSonic or SmartWave transmitters for remote indication
of bin levels. The display unit houses up to five display
modules in a NEMA-4X enclosure enabling the convenient reading
of up to five bins at a single location. Display module options
include either a versatile modular bar graph display with
optional dual set points and relay outputs or a 51-segment
bar graph with a four-digit LED display with standard relay
and analog outputs.
The display unit can be configured to meet
a variety of operational needs, providing for both process
control and localized alarms to low or high levels. It features
an auto-sensing AC/DC power supply and can be used in conjunction
with a variety of voltages – either 85 to 265 VAC /
95 to 270 VDC or 15 to 48 VAC / 10 to 72 VDC. Other options
include analog current loop and relay outputs for transmitting
measurement data to PLC/DCS or other analog devices and optional
dual set points that are easily adjusted from the front of
the display module.
