Types of Thermal Treatment:
Direct Transmission:
The material and the temperature transfer medium (usually
gaseous) are in Direct contact with each other. There are
two types of direct transfer: radial current and cross current.
Indirect Transmission:
The material and the temperature transfer medium (usually
heated or cooled liquid) do not come in direct contact with
each other. The liquid is beneath the base of the conveyor,
which has a pressure proof double floor.

JVI Vibratory Feeders can be
designed to directly or indirectly dry, heat or cool material
as it is conveyed. JVI vibratory equipment for thermal processing
is manufactured to meet process requirements such as thermal
expansion and stress, oxidization limits, sensitivity to brittleness
at sub-zero temperatures, and pressure sealing. Thermal processing
is available on electromechanical and electromagnetic vibratory
pan and tube feeders, dosing feeders, fluidized bed conveyors,
resonance conveyors, and spiral elevators.
Direct or Indirect Heating,
Cooling or Air Drying while:
- Conveying
- Elevating
- Lowering
